For these experiments the CEP has lots of equipment:
To study PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE
The Centre d’Expertise de la Performance aims to do research dedicated to performance. We are therefore interested in problematic directly applicable on the training field and we are using for research the same equipment that the one use for the athletes training and evaluation.
-Ergometers: isokinetic (Biodex), treadmill, cycle ergomete
-Force and power gauges (Newtest, Myostats, Tesys system, Myotest, Ergopower, PowerControl, MuscleLab…)
-Force Plates (Kistler, Globus)
-Several devices to measure (Myotest, Ergopower, PowerControl, MuscleLab …)
-Several devices to measure vertical jump ability (contact mat, OptoJump, Vertech, Abalakov system...)
-Several devices to measure speed (TAC cells, Brower cells, OptoJump, Microgate, Gymrol, Newtest...)

To study NEUROMUSCULAR FUNCTION
Sports performance optimization requires a better knowledge of its determinant factors. This involves fundamental studies.
-Ergometers: isokinetic (Biodex), treadmill, cycle ergomete
-Force and power gauges (Newtest, Myostats, Tesys system, Myotest, Ergopower, PowerControl, MuscleLab…)
-Force Plates (Kistler, Globus)
-2 data acquisition systems for mechanical and electrophysiological signals: Tesys system (including several force plates and force gauges), MuscleLab system
-1 acquisition system for physiological signals (electromyography): Biopac

To study the CARDIORESPIRATORY FUNCTION
Performance results from an integrated adaptation of the organism four big systems (muscular, pulmonary, cardiac and circulatory). Thus, to complete the equipments available to study the neuromuscular function, the CEP also has lots of devices dedicated to the evaluation of the cardiorespiratory function.
-Ergometers (treadmill, cycle-ergometer, arm-ergometer)
-2 portable systems for gas exchange analysis (K4b2)
-1 Vacumed gas exchange analyser
-Heart rate monitors for RR-interval measurement (Polar)
-1 acquisition system for physiological signals (blood pressure): Biopac

For MOTION ANALYSIS
The CEP also has several devices for motion analysis
-A 3-D video system (4 cameras, SIMI motion)
-Force plates (Kitsler, Globus)
